Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Analyze sales/inventory data for assigned accounts and help co-manage category with buyer and salesperson.
- Provide analytical support to salesperson for internal budgeting and planning sessions.
- Analysis to include: preparing reports, identifying trends and summarizing information into professional presentations.
- Maintain, aggregate and append data into department’s database for same accounts.
- Forecast basic business by item by month.
- Provide consumer insights (hierarchy of needs, decision tree and segmentation)
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years previous direct category management experience and /or mass account interaction required.
- Must have excellent analytical, presentation and oral/written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build productive work relationships.
- Must be able to effectively interface with all levels of employees, vendors, and customers.
- Must have proven analytical skills demonstrated through previous work experience.
- High level of database knowledge and experience is required. Must be able to do minor programming in ACCESS.
- Retail link/ProSpace/Info Retriever/Partner’s Online/IRI/Spectra/AcNielsen knowledge a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management or related field. Master’s degree a plus.
