Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Daily cash management – Perform daily reporting of cash position, calculation of funding requests or repayments under the company’s short term lending facility, preparation and submission of daily funding request.
- Account reconciliations – Monthly analysis of all activity affecting balance sheet accounts with particular emphasis on prepaid assets, accrued expenses and royalty accounts.
- Fixed assets – Review and follow-up on all open capital expenditure requests (CER) for timely closing and posting to fixed asset system in the U.S. per the Company’s capitalization and depreciation policies.
- Journal entries / monthly close – Preparation and entry of required entries for the monthly close within the established timeframe.
- Review of certain corporate P&L areas.
- Maintain schedule of rents for the US operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar position.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Should be comfortable working with various departments via telephone and e-mail to obtain requested explanations and information.
- Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) mandatory.
- General Ledger package, JDE preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Must be able to perform account reconciliations quickly and accurately, requesting additional information when necessary.
- Must possess general accounting acumen in the areas of prepaid assets, amortization and depreciation, accrued expenses.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to exercise judgment in the area of interest expense minimization when making source of loaned funds decisions.
- Work environment is office setting requiring sitting, standing, lifting of papers, documents and binders typically weighing less than 20 lbs. and working with computer equipment (eg. Keyboard, mouse and monitor).

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in Accounting or Finance.
