Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Key aspects of financial reporting for Elizabeth Arden Canada, including: Trial Balance review & maintenance; Journal entry generation; Profit & Loss (P&L) accruals; Variance analysis for all P&L lines; Balance Sheet review and account reconciliations;
- Freight & Distribution savings monitoring (new Third Party Logistics supplier); File updates (Indirect cost centres; All Trade spend files; Direct Marketing Expenses (DME) file; All Gross Sales Volume files)
- Support the growth & development of the Canadian business
- Analyze & recommend improvements to product mix and customer mix
- Support the development of Customer P&L's and Brand P&L's
- Maintain financial models to assess viability of new launches
- Develop an enhanced monthly reporting package
- Improve Capital Expenditures reporting and deployment
- Support the monitoring of the effectiveness of all trade spend vehicles, by customer
- Ensure internal controls are SOX-compliant
- Generate pricing & margin analyses
- Support the updating and maintenance of Hyperion Planning & Management Reporting (a. Input monthly forecast updates; Input annual budget updates; Generate value-add reporting)
- Participate in special functional assignments that contribute to both the development & execution of Corporate initiatives, as well as team & process development
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance or Business
- 3 - 5 years accounting/financial experience, including trade spending experience in a CPG environment
- Professional Accounting Designation, or in progress, strongly preferred
- JD Edwards and Hyperion knowledge preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and takes initiative
- Demonstrated expertise in business analysis and financial modeling
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality and timely results
- Plan and Execute: Proven organizational, planning and critical reasoning skills; Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; Ability to effectively prioritize; Adept at multi-tasking

Education:
