Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Directing all aspects of fragrance brand development:
- - New product and concept development
- - Interfacing with essential oil houses on product development, both for new fragrances and ancillary product development
- - Coordination of packaging development (including product/package copy, legal issues)
- Developing and implementing worldwide business plans which include the following:
- - Brand strategy (including pricing, promotion, etc.), positioning, and assortment
- - Media Strategies
- - Assessment of the competitive environment
- - Advertising development and collateral support for all worldwide markets
- - Distribution opportunities
- Working with creative to implement marketing direction on product launch collateral, and global promotions
- Coordinating consumer research (advertising/product/concept)
- Spearheading worldwide communication of brand strategies and marketing initiatives
- Tracking and reporting industry trends and competitive product positioning
- Global P & L management and accountability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related filed; MBA is a plus
- A minimum of five (8) years experience in global fragrance brand development or related category experience
- Experience in a CPG company is highly desired
- Good understanding of P&L fundamentals
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to get things done working with all cross functional teams
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
- Proven success as a leader. Ability to lead, mentor and develop a team of brand managers
- Strategic brand development skills (ability to think conceptually about brands, advertising, and the competitive market)
Education:
