Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Assist with product launch logistics (product forecasting, supplies, lab samples, etc.).
- Assist with monitoring the department's direct and indirect budgets, process invoices and follow up with the accounting department
- Monitor all media coverage (print, broadcast, online) through searches and use of CisionPoint database; track all fact-checked placements; scan placements and record in media-to-date chart
- Liaise with PR agencies to support department needs and initiatives
- Draft and edit press materials
- Compile and distribute weekly Beauty News Roundup to employees with pertinent industry news
- Communicate and distribute approved PR information/materials to global affiliates and post to the portal
- Process and route creative requests to creative department.
- Coordinate internship program: maintain relationships with universities, interview/hire candidates and oversee interns on daily basis (orientation, training, project management, etc.).
- Maintain PR Activity Calendars and Timing & Action Plans
- Fulfill media product requests
- Support Manager in management of social media platforms and programs
- Monitor the PR mailbox on a regular basis and route to relevant parties
- Maintain department files, publication subscriptions, Global Affiliates distribution list, press lists, awards list, etc

Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience in Public Relations field (beauty industry experience preferred)
- Bachelors degree (Communications or English majors preferred, but not required).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on writing and editing
- Superior organizational and follow-up skills, good interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize and meet ever-changing deadlines
- Strong team player that works well with others
- Understands how to prioritize and manage workload
- Superior organizational and follow-up skills, good interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Must be proactive and able to see the big picture while being detail oriented.
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Internet (including social media platforms)
