Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Working manager to execute the monthly financial close process for inventory, including overseeing adherence to a monthly close calendar to ensure that financial statements are complete, accurate and timely.
  • Identify and highlight significant and / or material accounting issues to the Director of Supply Chain Finance
  • Oversee and contribute to the preparation of all inventory related information for financial statements (P&Ls, Balance Sheets, Statement of Cash Flows and ROI) and all other reports required by management.
  • Provide information to business partners (Financial Planning and Analysis, general internal business partners, Corporate Accounting, External Audit, and Legal).
  • Work with Manager, External Inventory & Turnkey, to determine better processes for inventory reconciliations specifically for those related to buying inventory, proof of delivery charges and replacement POs. Support and conduct monthly research on these t

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in a corporate accounting group within a CPG company
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office products, especially advanced proficiency with Excel
  • Technical and comprehensive knowledge of all inventory accounting functional areas
  • Solid understanding of basic inventory-related operational and control requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SOX control requirements
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet and database skills
  • Ability to adapt to and contribute to organizational change in a fast changing business environment
  • Maintain high-quality accounting practices and a strong controls environment
  • Ability to work on and complete complex tasks with minimal or no supervision
  • Prioritize and balance multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of Turnkey and being able to navigate through non-integrated systems

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
