Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Developing programs to motivate and train beauty consultants through formal in class training sessions, video and live web training, written training manuals and brochures and on-counter follow-up sessions.
  • Training consists of sales techniques, product knowledge, and merchandising procedures to increase Elizabeth Arden corporate sales in Canada.
  • Guiding, developing, training, and managing Regional Trainers across the country.
  • Developing, training, and mentoring Beauty Consultant sales productivity and standards
  • Developing Public Relations strategies and managing the PR Agency. Track and monitor ROI of PR initiatives. Expand the awareness of all Elizabeth Arden corporate brands.
  • Attending semi-annual U.S Training meetings and adapt training materials for Canadian market. Creating PowerPoint training materials and managing the seasonal training workbook content.
  • Working with the Marketing Director and Sales Field and Account Management to plan formal training session content and appropriate schedules.
  • Developing and conducting formal training sessions in a "Train the Trainer" format.
  • Liaising with Sales and Marketing departments to educate and communicate corporate strategies and brand plans. Developing appropriate training and materials to achieve the corporate goals.
  • Managing launch events for Beauty Consultants. Assisting with Consumer Inquires as requested.
  • Acting as company spokesperson for the media, including broadcast and trade show appearances.
  • Investigating new training methods to enhance learning and to reduce costs.
  • Preparing and monitoring training department budgets to ensure cost efficient management of department and execution of programs.
  • Updating the 3-month rolling forecast for responsible budgets.
  • Managing the creation of the corporate quarterly Beauty Consultant Newsletter. Contributing to the Global Newsletter.

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Arts, Marketing, or Public Relations.
  • Post secondary courses in Business Administration or Education/Teaching.
  • Minimum of (1) one year retail experience on cosmetic line.
  • Previous training experience is highly preferred.
  • Minimum (5) five years experience in sales and/or marketing at a managerial level.
  • Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills. Media skills an asset.
  • Excellent written and oral skills. Bi-lingual in French an asset.
  • Intermediate computer skills - Word Perfect, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment.

Education:
  • Degree in Arts, Marketing, or Public Relations; Post secondary courses in Business Administration or Education/Teaching.
