Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Scheduling: create a monthly schedule for the counter staff.
- Seasonal strategic planning: create a seasonal business plan.
- Selling Assistant (SA) support: recruit, hire, and train selling assistants (SA). The Business Manager will also submit payroll information for SA staff on a timely basis and review SA productivity levels.
- Department Rallies: participate in daily departmental morning rallies and manage the daily sales performance of the staff.
- Event planning and preparation: prepare for events, at counter animation and visual weeks well in advance of the event date.
- Weekly review of PO Summary of both retail and no cost/no retail SKU's. The Business Manager must review the list of SKU's and "check off" when goods have been received in store.
- Stockroom maintenance: ensure the stockroom is maintained at all times.
- Damages: process damages according to proper procedure in a timely manner (once per month).
- Leadership and Management: The Business Manager must lead by example and coach and counsel staff in areas including: sales performance, policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree preferred
- 3-5 years experience in sales
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
