Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Scheduling: create a monthly schedule for the counter staff.
  • Seasonal strategic planning: create a seasonal business plan.
  • Selling Assistant (SA) support: recruit, hire, and train selling assistants (SA). The Business Manager will also submit payroll information for SA staff on a timely basis and review SA productivity levels.
  • Department Rallies: participate in daily departmental morning rallies and manage the daily sales performance of the staff.
  • Event planning and preparation: prepare for events, at counter animation and visual weeks well in advance of the event date.
  • Weekly review of PO Summary of both retail and no cost/no retail SKU's. The Business Manager must review the list of SKU's and "check off" when goods have been received in store.
  • Stockroom maintenance: ensure the stockroom is maintained at all times.
  • Damages: process damages according to proper procedure in a timely manner (once per month).
  • Leadership and Management: The Business Manager must lead by example and coach and counsel staff in areas including: sales performance, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in sales
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Undergraduate Degree
