Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • The Marketing Co-Coordinator provides marketing and administrative support to the Marketing Manager with respect to the development and implementation of Elizabeth Arden Canada's brand strategies and programs as assigned.
  • Initiate the new product deal size and competitive pricing analysis for management review. Update changes as required.
  • Co-ordinate translation process and proofread packaging, booklet and advertising copy and layouts for new products, marketing write-ups for Marketing Manager approval.
  • Co-ordinate the flow of packaging, inserts and advertising copy to the Marketing Manager for approval.
  • Co-ordinate the composition of the seasonal presentations and sell-book. Create monthly activity summaries for sales execution.
  • Produce new product launch sell sheets.
  • Create PowerPoint presentations for retailer and sales meeting presentations.
  • Prepare and proofread new product and promotional co-op advertising for Marketing Manager approval.
  • Submit creative requests to New York Creative Department and ensure complete follow up to meet internal and external deadlines.
  • Obtain quotes and work with suppliers to produce posters, postcards and display materials for new product launches and promotions.
  • Assist Marketing Manager in the development of Special Events for new and existing products. Obtain quotes and manage the development of support materials that will enhance product sell though at event locations.
  • Manage select product launches under supervision of Marketing Manager
  • Track set allocations and obsolescence targets.
  • Trouble-shoot marketing programs with sales, customer service, operations, Global Marketing in New York, logistics center in Roanoke and forecasting/planning office in Stamford.

Qualifications:
  • Two to three years experience in Marketing and/or Sales within a fast paced consumer packaged goods industry. Cosmetics and/or fragrance industry preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of CeRoy, AcNielsen, Markettrack, and Homescan
  • Previous cosmetics and/or fragrance industry experience an asset, as well as experience within highly trend driven categories, including apparel, toys, entertainment, etc.
  • Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques, and proven writing skills.
  • Creative aspect for helping to and preparing display material, in-house promotional items, etc.
  • Must be highly motivated, with great enthusiasm.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and display flexibility within a fast paced work environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a constantly changing environment. Adept at multi-tasking.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills.
  • High level of professional maturity and business integrity

Education:
  • Post Secondary/University Degree - Marketing or Commerce preferred
