Main Areas of Responsibility:
- The Maintenance & Facilities Manager for the Roanoke Operation will oversee day-to-day activities and deliverables assigned to the Maintenance Team.
- Will also oversee equipment assigned to the facility and the facility in general and ensure effective delivery of related services to the operation.
- Will serve as a key partner with all internal departments and support a high-performance process focused organization within the Roanoke Logistics Centre and local off-site facilities.
- Responsible to insure EA is meeting all EPA regulations, OSHA requirements, tracking records/logs and filing annual documentation.
- Must be able to think on their feet and make sound quick decisions with the support of all the Operation's Managers.
- Will be the Point of contact for all construction and major repairs being completed within the confines of an EA Roanoke facility.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent. Prefer Bachelor's degree in business, operations management and engineering.
- Prefer 5 to 8 years experience in a Supervisory role in maintenance, manufacturing, or a distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge in industrial mechanics and electronics.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures including best safety practices.
- Strong PC skills required; especially with MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, & Access).
- Knowledge of and skilled in blue print and schematic reading.
- Prefer formal training and project leadership in a continuous improvement environment, which includes Six Sigma, Lean, 5S�etc.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations.
- Prior experience in leading teams to maximize employee performance and engagement.
- 3 - 5 years experience in project management or structured problem solving methodologies with proven results.
- Excels in both verbal and written communication.
Education:
- High School Graduate or equivalent. Prefer Bachelor's degree in business, operations management and engineering.
