Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans/roadmaps to make certain network and systems capacity meets existing and future initiatives / requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and proper health-checks for Global Network Infrastructure.
  • Develop, deploy and maintain methodologies / technologies for projecting network and systems capacity needs to ensure Enterprise readiness / needed growth to meet business initiatives
  • Lead, Manage and Evaluate vendors / strategic providers and develop strong working relationships. Heavy vendor management is key.
  • Develop and maintain solid understanding of Customer / Business Unit needs and strengthen working relationships with key internal partners across the Enterprise.
  • Lead, research and development of recommendations on network and related telephony products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
  • Assess and approve and procurement of all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Operational Management
  • Ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives / key stake holders, decision-makers, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network activities / problems / incidents
  • Mentor and provide guidance to staff and extended staff (i.e. vendor teams).
  • Heavy Vendor and Contract Management

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related. 10 years equivalent work experience acceptable
  • Cisco Certifications are preferred
  • Experience working in an enterprise corporate Data Center environment a must
  • Experience with High Availability, Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery solutions
  • 10 years experience managing enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc for a diverse international organization
  • In depth knowledge of the TCP/IP / VOIP protocol suite
  • Experience with VMWare
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to present ideas, new technology in a user-friendly language / manner
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Strong customer service / services orientation background

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related. 10 years equivalent work experience acceptable
