Main Areas of Responsibility:
  • Project results responsibility: Responsible to deliver project versus key agreed metrics, including on time, on cost, at target margin and other agreed project deliverables.
  • Leading Project Team(s) - forming respective teams, leading team meetings, developing critical path schedules, developing metrics and process to evaluate progress, planning action steps, addressing and resolving issues and risks, publishing status docs.
  • Developing Long Term Innovation calendar for responsible Brands – The Project Manager will have a specific set of brands and will be responsible to develop the longer term calendar of innovation with the key commercial leadership.
  • Developing Specific Focused Improvement Area(s) – each Project Manager will have a specific area of focus to develop and improve. This will be a combination of capability development for project managers, company process / component improvement, etc.
  • Personal Development – each individual will be responsible to develop a personal development and training plan and executing against same.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree Required – prefer technical field, packaging a plus; Masters and/or MBA degree a plus.
  • Experience: 8-10 years experience in a consumer products company, ideally supporting product launches.
  • 5 Years experience in Project or Program Management. Proven experience leading larger and complex programs.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple functions, including commercial disciplines.
  • Language: English; Strong communication skills across all technical and commercial functions.
  • Computer / Technical skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project. Preference for technical skills in packaging programs, package development.
  • Manugistics or SAP (not a required user, but this type of experience will provide benefits).
  • Capability and experience in communication across all technical and commercial functions.
  • Relevant manufacturing experience in Consumer Goods.
  • Strong sense of team work; capable and experienced at developing a team approach across a team of diverse contributors.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and multiple deliverables.
  • Knowledge of finance, marketing and sales functions and deliverables.
  • Self starter – proven ability to operate on own to develop and set direction and drive the project team to same.
  • Ability to travel between Stamford and NYC offices. Potential for 10% travel.
  • History of successful project execution. Detailed oriented and capable to handle complex programs.

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree Required – prefer technical field, packaging a plus; Masters and/or MBA degree a plus.

Travel Requirements: 10%
