Main Areas of Responsibility:
- The Fall, 2013 Co-op program will run from June 3rd to December 27th. We have 4 positions available:
- 1. Package Development: The Package Development Co-op will work with our internal Engineering team to develop packages that meet both aesthetic and functional objectives.
- The Co-op will achieve this by creating component parts and corresponding technical specifications, creating bills of materials, and executing appropriate packaging testing, as required (ship testing, compatibility, chemical resistance, etc.).
- 2. External Manufacturing: The External Manufacturing co-op will be responsible for managing the performance of our 3rd party manufacturers to meet Elizabeth Arden’s quality, cost and delivery date requirements.
- The co-op position will learn the systems, tools and reports used to manage the supply base which manufacture our fragrance business. This position will require travel about 20% of the time to our Manhattan office and to our ext. manufacturing locations.
- 3. Planning: The Planning co-op will manage the master production schedule for a group of brands within our fragrance portfolio utilizing Manugistics and JBA to learn the day to day responsibilities of a planner.
- The co-op will maintain and develop reports for the Planning group using Insight and MS Excel. A process improvement project will be developed for the co-op term based on the needs of the department and interest of the candidate.
- 4. Global Promotions & Trade Customization: The Global Promotions and Trade Customization group oversees the production and distribution of more than 10 million gift sets each year.
- The Global Promotions and Trade Customization co-op will take an active role in the preparation of cost analysis reports, issuance of purchase and work orders to the respective business unit, the monitoring and tracking of component transfers.
- The Co-op will also be actively involved in the coordination of logistics between our external manufacturers and internal distribution center.
Qualifications:
- All candidates must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Supply Chain, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Packaging Science.
- Good academic standing, minimum of 3.00 GPA.
- Prior work experience is preferred, but not mandatory (part-time, co-op or internship).
- Demonstrated leadership and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of computer software packages (Microsoft Office).
- Note: Elizabeth Arden is not able to offer sponsorship for this position.
Education:
- All candidates must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Supply Chain, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Packaging Science.
