Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for the implementation and management of Elizabeth Arden import-export compliance and hazardous goods programs.
- Individual will ensure all import-export programs are in compliance with all applicable customs regulations (HTS, country of origin, valuation, duty preference programs, etc), maximizing savings for the organization.
- Individual will ensure all movement of hazardous goods are in compliance with all applicable laws following the appropriate Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree. Preferable International Business. Masters degree is a plus.
- USA Customs Broker License is required.
- 7-10 years experience in USA imports/exports. EU and Canadian import/export experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of HTS, customs regulations and OGA clearances.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Border Services Agency processes & procedures, NAFTA and Federal & International Hazardous Material Regulations.
- Vast experience managing containerized cargo, LCL freight, airfreight & trucking.
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Process analysis and process improvement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Must be able to provide comprehensive & timely trade compliance/customs advice to facilitate business decisions.
- Provide training to internal partners, DC & external manufacturers on applicable import compliance topics.
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships.
- Anticipate broader scope of responsibility as the organization evolves.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree. Preferable International Business. Masters degree is a plus.
