Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the implementation and management of Elizabeth Arden import-export compliance and hazardous goods programs.
  • Individual will ensure all import-export programs are in compliance with all applicable customs regulations (HTS, country of origin, valuation, duty preference programs, etc), maximizing savings for the organization.
  • Individual will ensure all movement of hazardous goods are in compliance with all applicable laws following the appropriate Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree. Preferable International Business. Masters degree is a plus.
  • USA Customs Broker License is required.
  • 7-10 years experience in USA imports/exports. EU and Canadian import/export experience preferred.
  • Solid understanding of HTS, customs regulations and OGA clearances.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Border Services Agency processes & procedures, NAFTA and Federal & International Hazardous Material Regulations.
  • Vast experience managing containerized cargo, LCL freight, airfreight & trucking.
  • Intermediate use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Process analysis and process improvement skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to provide comprehensive & timely trade compliance/customs advice to facilitate business decisions.
  • Provide training to internal partners, DC & external manufacturers on applicable import compliance topics.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Anticipate broader scope of responsibility as the organization evolves.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree. Preferable International Business. Masters degree is a plus.
