Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage the planning, implementation, and execution of in-store retail events, such as the Regional Trendsetter and Event in a Box programs.
  • Partner with Retail Executive / Regional Market Manager during store negotiations as a corporate field presence.
  • Conduct and deliver a variety of educational programs for field sales groups in specified region as follows: new fragrance introductions, in-store schools (product knowledge and selling skills) and merchandising standards.
  • Develop, motivate, and coach Retail Executives and Retail Market Managers, including New Hire product knowledge and sales skills education.
  • Schedule and manage regional / national education and report all information into National Education Manager.
  • Work with Field Sales Directors in territory to assess learning and development needs of Retail Executives and Retail Market Managers.
  • Be the "voice of the field" by communicating and working to resolve any issues while evaluating in-store needs and priorities. Communicate these directly to management including competitive information.
  • Positively influence others behavior and performance without formal authority and providing a professional and motivational working atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with field and teams for innovative new ideas and the means to execute retail events.
  • Collaborate with Manager on retail events and education action plan/strategy that supports the short- and long-term business development goals of DSFG.
  • Gathers feedback and assesses each education program to learn what worked and what needs to be improved. Develops a plan of action according to these assessments.
  • Responsible for insuring expenditures are delivered on a timely basis to the National Education Manager so that they can be properly processed.

Qualifications:
  • Education and formal presentation experience required.
  • Excellent presentation skills and business writing skills.
  • Plan-present-execute-evaluate all aspects of retail events and education.
  • Business and financial controls such as managing cost budget.
  • Negotiation skills, problem solving, and conceptual thinking.
  • Computer skills utilizing Word, advanced Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel 60 to 70%.
  • Must be located in the NYC Metro area.

Education:
  • BA/BS preferred.
